Always there to help, npm author Isaac Schlueter has taken the time to put together a brief yet thorough primer on how to get started coding up a module for Node.js. His instructions include everything you need to get started writing something that will work his his package manager, tapping into the Node.js coding community via github, IRC and the Node.js Google Group, and best practices including the ever-important reminders to document and test your code. You can find his guide on How to Node as well as Isaac's gist on github. So now you have one less excuse keeping you from getting started with that C++ library binding or web server you've been dying to create in Node.js.
