Joyent Supports hi5 and Open Social
MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – March 13, 2008: Expands Social Networking partnerships by providing free Accelerators optimized for the Open Social platform.
Strongspace is a secure place to gather, store, back-up, and share any type of file with your co-workers, friends and family. You can upload and download files via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), HTTPS (Web browser access over Secure Socket Layers) and even RSYNC over SSH (a rapid, low bandwidth way to “sync”).
Joyent designed Strongspace so that everything happens over a secure, encrypted connection. Your password and other sensitive information are encrypted with Blowfish (a keyed, symmetric block cipher) and files are moved to-and-from our servers to your computer over encrypted channels at all times.
Add to this, access to a wonderful community of people willing and able to help you along the way, and we think that makes for a pretty good package.
Strongspace is a great place to back-up or store important files from any Internet-connected computer. Companies can use it as an inexpensive off-site file server, friends and family around the world can use it to share files, and if you regularly use multiple computers, it’s a perfect centralized place to store your files.
