Joyent recognizes you and your application are making big strides in social networking and we would like to reward you for your efforts and achievements. Joyent’s Players’ Club program provides entirely free infrastructure for your social networking application for as long as it runs on Joyent Accelerators. Here’s how it works:
- Applications are chosen at the sole discretion of Joyent.
- For as long as your application runs on Joyent Accelerators, and you providing data about usage of your application to Joyent (more about that below), all of your compute, storage, bandwidth, scale needs will be met by Joyent at no cost whatsoever to you.
- You may only use your free infrastructure from Joyent in support of the social networking application that earned your entrance to Joyent’s Players’ Club.
- Joyent reserves the right to revoke your membership in Joyent’s Players’ Club at any time. You will have 7 days to switch to a paid Joyent Accelerator plan or move to another infrastructure provider.
- Joyent provides absolutely anonymous data to marketers and websites to help them target ads and customize user experience.
Data Anonymity
The critical issue in designing this service is that user anonymity is strictly maintained. We provide concrete value to marketers and websites by only allowing them to choose three absolutely anonymous data points about a given user. User anonymity is alway maintained, and nothing is stored on Joyent’s service that could comprise user anonymity.
