Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who Understands SysOps and DevSecOps principles, CI-CD pipeline scripting, common cloud native monitoring, manageability and analytics tools. Has hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, Terraform or similar tools. knowledge of databases like MariaDB, MySQL, Redis, Postgres etc. In depth knowledge of Kubernetes troubleshooting, deployment and orchestration. This individual must be a self starter, and have experience bringing new ideas to the table to help solve problems. More importantly, this individual must also be capable of playing a key role in solving said problems. In this role you will be working with onshore and offshore resources to design, develop and implement deployment strategies, security policies and monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

• Build, automate and support mission critical, highly secure and highly available large-scale infrastructure.

• Support and maintain all Databases and the one responsible for data integrity, database update, migration, patches and uptime

• Configuration Automation - automation cookbooks and test suites for Ansible, Chef.

• Support compute and data infrastructure both in the cloud and on-premises data centers

• Automate and enforce IT governance, security, compliance, and audit standards

• Deployment in AWS, Azure, IBM, GCP, etc and hands on with cloud native monitoring, manageability and analytics tools

Skills & Competencies

• In depth understanding of OS, systems security, encryption, and networking stack and interfaces

• Excellent coding or scripting skills including template building (Python, Groovy or Bash)

• Solid interpersonal, communication and results-oriented skills

Education & Experience

• CI CD experience with tools like Github, Artifactory and Team City or Jenkins

• Must be familiar with log aggregation, monitoring solutions and alerting and experience with being on-call rotation

• Familiar with Cloud technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS Infrastructure Services

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience. Using tools like Minikube KubeSparay etc

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this position will vary among specific regions due to geographical differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.  Therefore, the annual base compensation range for this role (depending on the geographical location) is expected to be between $110000 to $190000.

Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Vacation and Sick leave, electronic reimbursement and many more.  In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for bonus compensation based on individual, department, and company performance.
